The fourth annual Connecticut manufacturing competitiveness index.
The MAC Index is a critical tool for measuring the competitiveness of Connecticut manufacturers versus their counterparts in other states. The MAC Index compares Connecticut’s position to all other states in the areas of productivity, manufacturing costs, economic structure, physical infrastructure, quality of life, and technology for the years 1992, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, and 2004-05. The presentation of multiple years allows this report to address issues associated with the changes in Connecticut’s economy over time.
